Sign in with a one-time code
How sign-in codes work, what to do if one does not arrive and why to keep it private.
2 min read · UpdatedADigitalMotive does not use passwords. Each time you sign in on a new device, we send a short one-time code by SMS, WhatsApp or email. You type the code, and you are in. The code works once and expires after a few minutes.
Signing in
- Open the web app or a phone app and enter your phone number or email address.
- Choose where to receive the code.
- Type the code exactly as it arrives. On many phones it fills in by itself.
If the code does not arrive
- Wait a minute. Text messages are sometimes delayed by the mobile network.
- Check that the number or address you typed is correct, including the country code.
- For email, look in your spam or promotions folder.
- Tap Send another code, or switch to a different channel, for example WhatsApp instead of SMS.
- If you have lost access to your phone number and email, tap I can't get a code and our team will verify you another way. This takes longer on purpose, to protect your account.
Extra protection
Team accounts can switch on two-step sign-in, which asks for a second check on top of the code. In Settings → Security you can also see every device signed in to your account and sign out any you do not recognise.
If you received a code you did not ask for, someone may have typed your number by mistake. You do not need to do anything; without the code they cannot get in.
Ask your ADM Assistant in the app, or message our team. We reply in your language.
